Ender's Game

Ender can do absolutely no wrong; he is good at everything he fucking does, he never fails, and thus it takes all the excitement out of the book.
There is absolutely no reason to get emotionally invested in this book; Ender never makes mistakes and is perfect in everything he does.
Ender is a typical Gary Stu character: he’s practically an orphan and alone in the world; he’s the chosen one, and the only and last hope the world has; he excels at everything he does, is the best of the bestest, and a fucking special little snowflake.
The author’s homophobia is glaringly obvious: the worse sort of humiliation Ender could come up with to fight his rival, is to fake a message that says his rival likes other boys’ buts. Because nothing is worse than guys liking other guys. Sigh.
